Valentines & winter love
Our first blog hop went very well last weekend! There were 23 comments left so we have been busy making Valentine's and winter love cards. :)
Thomas made the card posted above. He started with several sketches and then went his own way, as he often does. He is much better at thinking outside the box than I am. (He'll be more than happy to share his favorite story about me & tearing paper. When you see him, ask him about Bug's life.... He'll know what you mean...). The stamp is from an older set by clearly wordsworth. Pattern paper is from a winter stack that he distressed with broken china Tim Holtz distress ink. Snowmen are colored with copics. He printed out "I love you" in several different languages and punched them out with Stampin' up label punch. Snowmen are popped with Sandy's giant roll of dimensional adhesive. 20 down and 3 more to go for Thomas...
I started with a House Mouse stamp. Colored it with copics and then dug through the stash for Valentine's type papers. I was surprised to not find many pinks or hearts. Either that or they are buried deep, deep, in the stash.... I did find some Basic Grey "two scoops" paper and their coordinating stamps... The little forever charm is from Queen & Co. (another company that I'm not sure is in business anymore...) Textured cardstock is Bazzill.
I was low on the dark teal (I only had a couple of sheets of 12x12....) so I substituted black for the card base and matt. I'm really trying to use what I have and shop less... (& It's working so far except for a trip to Hobby Lobby while in Vegas...) :) Same Basic Grey paper & copics for coloring. Used owh stars and stamps sketch #26 as starting point for the cards.
I have 26 cards made & will keep posting them over the next few days before I drop them off at Sandy's. :)

This House Mouse stamp is sooo cute! I really like your choice of papers. I guess it was worth digging through your stash!
