taking advantage of another snow day & getting a little creative time in. :)
used mojo monday #224 sketch. My Mind's Eye everyday tango stack that came from Costco a couple of years ago. I think it was Costco. Been in the stash for awhile.... Ribbon is also from the stash, May Arts I think. Stamp is from Impression Obsession.
This is what it looks like out my front window....
Since the Seattle area really has no IDEA how to deal with snow, let alone how to drive in it... I'll be staying home, nice & cozy, until it's safe to be on the roads again. :)

OWH sketch #104
This week's OWH sketch challenge. The patterned paper is from an old stack of My Mind's Eye paper, from Costco I think. Stamps are Basic Grey & colored with Copics. Birthday greeting rub-on is from Deja Views. Ribbon is American Crafts.
I made several of these since I'm going to need several cards in the next week or so, for friends & ski club birthdays. Now to use up the rest of the sheet of pp.... ;)

3 more cards with the same Basic grey... It's time to clean up those scrap & move on. :)
1st up--
this one uses OWH sketch #38. Sentiment stamp from impression obsession. Corner stamps are Basic Grey, as is button. Floss is by Karen Foster.
2nd up--
this one uses an older mojo monday sketch #168. Ribbon is May Arts, I think. It's been in the stash awhile. Button is Basic Grey. Sentiment stamp is unknown... I can't find the sheet it came off of.... I'll update when I find it.... I orginally started this card for the ODBD challenge on Stars & Stamps, but I think I like the one from tuesday better since can only use one.
last one--
again basic grey for the pattern paper. Sentiment stamp is Hero Arts, OWH set. flourish is from an old Sandylion set. Punch is by EK Success. I copied the idea from a card that I tore out of Paper Crafts magazine.
That's it for now with this set of Basic Grey. 9 cards, all different. No multiples of the same card like I normally do. Back in the stash the rest goes. Little pieces all RECYCLED!!! (another new thing for me.....) On to different paper & stamps.... Maybe a Valentine or two, even if it is past the OWH deadline, I'll save them for December & be ahead of the game.... ;)

a Mojo monday
In trying to stretch the creative cards muscles this year, I'm playing along with mojo monday sketches. They are usually a little more "busy" than what I have normally done, so the last couple weeks has been fun trying to play along & make the sketch work for me.
This weeks sketch #223
Same Basic Grey paper as the last few days. American Crafts ribbon. EK Success border punch. Sentiment stamp by Hero Arts.

Back to Normal...
Ahhhh. Normal. The Teen is back in school. Work has almost returned to normal, at least the uber crazy hours have ended for another year. Ski lessons have started. Ahhh. Winter normal. :) But, this normal means less time in the paper room to make cards. So I have to get organized and make kits during the week to take with me. Maybe I'll get there this week. ;)
I did get the new sketch done from OWH stars & stamps blog.
Sketch is OWH #103. Paper is Basic Grey, as are flower stamps. Sentiment is one of the new one by Hero Arts for OWH. Buttons are old Making Memories. Floss is from Karen Foster.
I'm starting to get tired of this paper. Might be time to recycle the little scraps & put the rest away for awhile and move on to something different. At least the creative mojo seems to be back for now. :)

a little mojo
Have had a productive couple of days. Yeah!!! The mojo is slowly coming back! It got lost in all of the craziness that is Peak at big brown. With the spring deadlines for OWH creeping up, I thought I would jump ahead to Mom's day & Dad's day. (I just can't wrap my head around bunnies & spring flowers right now while we are preparing for ski lesson season....)
First up-
used sketch #100 from OWH stars & stamps blog. Patterned paper is basic grey. Stamp is from Impression Obsession. Button is also BG. Twine I think is May Arts, it's from the stash.
Next- one for Mom's day--
This one uses the same BG paper. Stamp is from Impression Obsession, same set as the Father's Day stamp. Sketch #82 from OWH. Pearl pen is used for the small accents.
Last one--
Again same BG pp. This time I branched out & used a Mojo monday sketch. (I want to branch out & try different sketch this year. Stretch the creative muscle a little bit... ) Sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, a basic grey set. Flowers are Prima. Floss is from Karen Foster. Ribbon is from stash, I think it's May Arts.
Not a bad couple of days.... Most productive I've been in a long time. :)

Happy New Year 2012!
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend! I know I"m enjoying my last day of vacation. The peak/Christmas fog has finally lifted for me & I can finally enjoy the holiday season. Just in time to take everything down. :)
Between working a ton & helping Sandy (the fearless leader of OWH) with a special project, our poor blog has been neglected. We hope to do better now that things are more or less back to normal. I'll post what I was working on as soon as Sandy gives the ok.
Until then.... Here is what I made this morning.
It uses sketch 102 from the owh stars & stamps blog. The patterned paper is Basic Grey. The little sentiment stamp is from Making memories. The die cuts are from Quik Kutz.
I hope to get back in the creative groove & start posting more regularly.
Here's to a creative New Year using up more of the well aged stash!
